What is a QR Code?

What is a QR Code? A QR code is like a bar code that you can read with your phones camera user some kind of QR Code Reader App. I will get into the “How To” later. What happens once you read this “QR Code”? Whatever you want! You can add your contact information onto this code so that when it is scanned it will ask the scannie if they want to add this information to their contact list. This is a great idea to put onto business cards so whoever has it doesn’t have to take all that time out to manually add in their contact information. Another idea is you could add a website behind this QR Code. So instead of manually opening their browser and going to your website all they have to do is scan this QR Code and it will automatically take the user there. This means you could put special offers, promotional deals or pretty much anything to intrigue this potential client. There is much more you can do with this QR Code which is probably why it is so popular in Japan. There you will see QR Codes on almost everything especially in the grocery store. You scan an item in this grocery store and it will pull up prices, deals, and additional information. With a tiny little code you give the customer 3 times the information. It is pretty much a marketing dream that is becoming more and more popular by the day.

I am sure there are better ones out there if you search. Once you have downloaded the app you can open it and should see an option of “Camera”. Point it at the QR Code below and let it read it.
