Parental Discretion Advised

We see these words everyday gracing everything from novels to most notably movies. What I want to know is does anybody even “see” this warning anymore? Or even care? I can tell you that the TV shows that this warning is popping up on nowadays are really tame in comparison to what the warning was showing up on just ten years ago. I think that people have just seen something to often to really notice it anymore. Or more seriously just don’t care what their children watch. I think we need to come up with a better system to allow parents to actively gauge what is in a show before they actually allow their kids to see it. What do you think? What ideas do you have on this subject? Or better yet how do you do it?
