Get Involved: Bug Hunt Family Event
July 25, 2012 No Comments
Who doesn’t love bugs? What about scavenger hunts? If you like these, you are in luck! The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House is hosting their 5th annual Bug Hunt. This event gives children and adults alike to learn the behaviors of insects in their habitat. Through games and activities, you will get this unique opportunity to get a sense of how bugs and insects interact with the environment around them. You also have the opportunity to step outside with a Butterfly House entomologist and capture native insects to observe and release them back into their natural habitat. You have this unique opportunity from 11:30am and 1pm.
Volunteers are needed to help throughout the event. From setting up to manning the games to cleaning up, volunteers have many opportunities and areas to be involved.
The details:
When: July 28
Time: 11am to 2pm
What: Help with set up (10:30am), clean up (2-2:30pm) and during the event
