Listening To Music and Job Performance

May 22, 2011 No Comments

I was reading up on a study by the University of Illinois which states that listening to music via headphones can significantly improve job performance and mood. They studied 256 office workers and from marketing and found that it soothed them. This really makes sense because it would cut off any annoying office chatter that they might overhear throughout their already long and stressful day. I mean really, who wouldn’t want to listen to their favorite album while their working? I’ve even got to the point where I can’t program without music. So what do you think: Do you work with music?
