Almost every one loves giant robots. I think this actually has nothing to do with the actual robots. In almost any piece of media dealing with these iconic symbols has massive amounts of action. I think this is why they are so awesome. Just watching these behemoths march around doing battles with one another is just really cool. The best of the movies featuring giant robots are the ones where the robots actually have vestiges of humanity. The spirit of humanity locked within the cold metal of the robot is one of the things that drive the conflict, of the eternal struggle. What do you think drives peoples connection to giant robots?
