Social Media

Social media is an important aspect of our lives in the year 2011. We don’t have flying cars and our robots are currently relegated to break-dancing and playing soccer, but using a smart phone or computer terminal, I can know the opinions of a particular group of friends on any subject at a moment’s notice. While it is nice to know about your high school buddies’ bonfire in Tuscon, the application that fascinates me the most is using social media for businesses. Tracking customer likes and complaints and enhancing customer loyalty are the wave of the future in regards to marketing a company. The most important thing about using social media is using it effectively.
