Non-profit Showcase–Rung Boutique
January 13, 2012 No CommentsThis month, our featured non-profit is Rung boutique. Rung is a resale boutique specializing in high-end fashions for working women. Their tagline is “outfitting your corporate climb.” The store features everything from Chanel and Dior to Banana Republic and Forever 21. The clothes are gently used and in great condition—some still have the tags on them! And everything in the store is featured for at least 50% off the original price.
Rung is a resale boutique, not a resale store. Rung’s space is impeccably decorated and organized; its feel is warm and inviting. Their fun, fresh logo and signature orange-red color are visible throughout the store. As soon as I entered, my eyes were drawn to the beautifully dressed mannequins and displays. I could’ve spent hours in there, but unfortunately I had to return to work. (Wouldn’t you love it if your boss gave you shopping time during the workday?) However, I did manage to find a great scarf and genuine leather belt for under $25. I dare you to go to a department store and find clothing of that quality for those prices.
The best part is 100% of the net proceeds go to The Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis. This foundation specializes in raising awareness and providing funding for organizations that address the needs of women and girls in the St. Louis area. (In the U.S., less than 8% of foundation funding goes to organizations that serve women and girls). Your money is a donation for a great cause, and you get to walk away with fabulous clothing. Just visit this boutique once, and I’m convinced you’ll love it. For more information, visit their website at http://www.shoprung.org/ or Like them on Facebook. (They feature great daily deals on Facebook). Please visit and let us know what you think!
