Spectrum Ecycle Event
August 19, 2011 No CommentsLarge appliances and electronics are some of the most unrecylced items. When recycling large appliances or electronics, there are certain guidelines that should be followed in order for them to be recycled in a safe and efficient manner. If disposed of improperly, these items can sometimes contain harmful elements, which cause clutter, trash, and waste that is harmful to our planet earth. If you’re looking to get rid of some of those old electronic appliances laying around drop them off at Spectrum”s Ecycle event on August 6. Item accepted include computers, printers, phones, monitors, TVs, radios, VCR/DVD players, cables, and small electronic appliances. All recycling is done with secure data destruction and zero landfill.
Electronics and appliances are items that are not often replaced. It may be more convenient to place it at the curb and wait for garbage to take it but just remember the affects of that one item aren’t as small as you may think. If you have such an item you need to get rid of this is a good opportunity to dispose of it in a proper way. Do you have information on other ways to dispose electronics or appliances? We would love to hear about it!
