Adopt an Apartment, Change a Life

PWA is furnishing an apartment for a Lydia’s House client who is starting a new life, perhaps with little more than the clothes on her back. They need your help to create a warm, comfortable, nurturing environment for her!

How can you help?

Volunteer on Saturday, June 18, from 9am-12 noon

at the apartment in St. Louis (location to be announced)

to move in their donated items and set up the space!

AND/OR\

-Go to your local Target (or shop online) and use their registry list to purchase items that have been selected for the apartment. The list is titled “Lydia’s House Apartment” Organization-Professional Women’s Alliance, Contact Name-Cathy Perry

-Donate needed items you may have at home or would like to purchase: TV with converter box, DVD player, vacuum cleaner, microwave, alarm clock radio, coffee maker, toaster, telephone with answering machine, kitchen trash can.

-Donate Cash or Check made payable to PWA, Visa gift cards for items not on the registry.

Pick one of the following three packages and supply the requested items in it:

-Paper products – paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, Kleenex, aluminum foil, saran wrap, trash bags

-Cleaning products – laundry detergent, dryer sheets, broom, mop, bathroom and kitchen cleaning products.

-Toiletries – bar soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, hair care products.
