Leafy Tips: True Image Quality
March 9, 2011 No CommentsSee what your camera really sees
Do you have an interest in photography? Are you wondering how to get more realistic colors in your images? Well if you have a camera that shoots in a .RAW file (not .jpegs) and Adobe Bridge, then you”re in luck! Adobe has created a program called Camera Raw, which reads these camera raw files and also makes them editable. The difference between .raw formats and .jpegs is that the raw file types are not in color, when you open them they are in shades of blue and grayscale. Once you plug your camera into the computer, open up your images in camera raw. Once in there you can adjust all of the different color settings like color temperature, exposure, filters, shadows, highlights, etc. Adjust all of these sliders until happy, or copy all of your camera settings that you had on that particular image to exactly replicate what the camera captured. Camera raw is also a useful tool to edit other .jpeg files you have on your computer. What are some other useful ways you can use Adobe’s Camera Raw?
