Leafy Tips: Gotta Have My Coffee
March 8, 2011 No CommentsA Simple Suggestion
According to e-importz.com, over 50% of Americans over 18 years of age drink coffee every day. That’s a lot of people and a lot of coffee. Unfortunately, that also makes for a lot of potential trash and waste. We all need our morning pick-me-up to get us ready for the rest of the day, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be in a plastic or styrofoam cup. If all of us coffee drinkers purchased a coffee mug and/or thermos and reused it everyday, we would save so much money and do good for the environment. A lot of gas stations now sell reusable coffee thermoses so you can still get your coffee to go if need be. If you visit http://www.gmagazine.com.au/blog/17/september-g-challenge-living-without-disposable-coffee-cups, you can read about the G Challenge which involves avoiding plastic coffee cups in order to help protect the environment. Thanks for reading and let us know if you decide to make the change to save some money and better the environment.
