5 Recycling Tips
July 9, 2011 No CommentsI mentioned before that when it comes to recycling I can never think of other ways to reuse the items. Lately, I am coming across some fun ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Here is is part two of my creative recycling tips.
1. Broken candles – Melt them down to make new candles then add broken crayons for color.
2. Used dryer softener sheets – Use for dusting instead of the Pledge grab-it or Swiffer cloths. For impossible to clean pots and pans fill them up with water and the used dryer sheet, let sit for awhile, and the stains will become easier to clean.
3. Newspaper – Use to clean windows with instead of paper towels. Newspapers are a lot less likely to leave the window smudges.
4. Plastic grocery bags – Donate to local Salvation Army, a nonprofit organization. They deliver meals on Wheels to the elderly and need bags to put their food in for delivery.
5. Broken crayons – Sort by color, melt in an old can, pour into the molds that come with Jell-O gigglers then kids have new crayons in all different shapes.
I really enjoyed tip #5 one with my niece. It was fun, creative and it is something you can continue to use for a while. Which did you find most useful?
