Reuse to Recycle
August 13, 2011 No CommentsWe all use bottled water every day of our lives, but in order to reduce our carbon footprint we need to reuse all of our plastic bottles. In 2010 a study found that if we were to tie all the used plastic bottles together it would stretch across the planet over 3 and a half times! Obviously this is terrible for the environment because landfills are becoming full of items that cannot be recycled like plastic. Here are some ways you can reuse your plastic bottles to reduce your carbon footprint. The easiest way would be to just reuse the bottles to carry drinking water. To do this without buying more water you can just buy a water purifier to keep refilling you water bottles, plus if you think about it, you will save more money by not having to buy more water! There are tons of creative ways to reuse your bottles like, bird feeders, vases, and piggy banks (larger bottles). What are some more ideas you can think to reuse your water bottles?
