Helping Our Economy

According to the SEAC – Student Environment website the Washington, DC-based Institute For Local Self-Reliance calculates that recycling creates 36 jobs per 10,000 tons of material recycled compared to 6 jobs for every 10,000 of tons brought to traditional disposal facilities. So recycling is not only better for the environment, but great for the economy too! By recycling 10,000 tons of material, 6 times the amount of jobs are created. If you have any other economy + recycling related facts, we’d love to hear about them!
