Garbage Power

May 17, 2011 No Comments

Garbage is an ever present problem that we need to deal with sooner rather than later. While recycling programs are helpful, there is still a large chunk of garbage that heads to the landfill every day. One solution for this involves a machine invented by the Japanese company Blest. Their machine, which is portable and uses only a kilowatt of power, gradually heats plastics and melts them down to a flammable liquid which could be used to power many combustion engines. Additionally, this practice could help reduce dependence on foreign sources of oil. What do you think about this machine?
