Kids Crafts for the Pets

May 15, 2011 No Comments

This craft is great for a family with kids and pets. For a lot of kids, their pets are a big part of their lives. If this is the case in your family, the kids will love creating this Laundry Bottle Pet Food Scoop for their pet. The things you will need for this project are:\

• Plastic laundry bottle

• Felt in your favorite shades

• White craft glue

• Scissors or a sharp knife

• Felt alphabet stickers (optional)

Instead of throwing the laundry bottle away, you are going to turn your trash into treasure by creating a useful household tool. The first step is to wash out the bottle as best as you can. Then have an adult cut the top of the bottle off while still leaving the handle in tact. Then peel all labels off and make sure the bottle is completely clear of any soap. While doing this, wash any remnance of the label off of the outside of the bottle. Use hot water instead of cold to be sure. Then use the felt alphabet letters that you either made or bought and spell out your pet’s name. Glue or stick them on the bottle wherever you wish. Create or buy other fun shapes to stick or glue on the bottle. For more detailed instructions, please visit this site, where I found this great project and remember to let us know how yours turns out!
