Art & Trash: Green Tattoos?
March 13, 2011 No CommentsInked…The Natural Way
Do you have any tattoos, or are you thinking of getting one? Why not try something different and use natural ink? All this means is that you get the tattoo of your choice, without the use of man made inks and chemicals; you simply get inked from natural elements in the earth. This may sound odd, but in fact, these were how the very first tattoos were made over thousands of years ago! The ingredients couldn’t be any simpler; all you will need is ashes from a completely burnt piece of wood and vodka! It may sound weird or even dangerous, but it is perfectly safe. Once a piece of wood is completely burned, it is reduced to Carbon, which is 100% non-toxic and safe to be put under your skin. Once you have the ashes and the vodka all you need to do is mix the two ingredients until it forms a gel like substance just like regular tattoo ink, and your ready to go! The reason for the Vodka instead of water is that, when getting your tattoo, you are creating holes in your skin for the ink to settle and the liquid is what carries the ink into your skin which also means it can carry bacteria. By using vodka, you ensure that the ink is sterile and will keep the tattoo from being infected. So once everything is said and done, you will have your own natural, green tattoo using only elements found here on planet Earth! However, you should never give yourself or friends tattoos. Always have a tattoo done by a professional tattoo artist. They are trained to safely apply art to your body, and you most likely are not, so be safe and enjoy your new tattoo! If you have one or know anyone who does share them with us!
