What is Klout?
August 4, 2011 No Comments‘Do you ever wonder if the posts you make on Facebook and Twitter actually get across to people? Are your tweets interesting enough to build an audience? Are you tweeting too little or too much for your audience? Well, there is something that can measure true reach, amplification probability, and network score. It is called the Klout score. The scores range from 1-100 with the higher scores representing a stronger range of influence. I think this could be very beneficial for businesses. Klout allows you to link Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Foursquare to see what areas are strong, and what areas could use improvement. My Klout score is a 44. I am effectively using social media to influence my network across a variety of topics. I’m happy to have started out as a 44, but I know I can improve. I am anxious to see how quickly the Klout score spreads to businesses and how they will take advice on areas of improvement. What do you think about this? Do you think the Klout score will be beneficial for businesses?
