Origin Story

ONE of the reasons I got into programming and web developing was the similarities it had with my favorite toy growing up, Legos. With Legos, you take pieces and build things, usually starting with one piece before gradually building up to whatever creation you were aiming for. With programming, the same principle applies. You take lines of code, which add up and come together to make a program. With both of these things, what you can make is limited to the imagination. Legos may have given me something to build initially, but the real fun came when I could build whatever I wanted. The infinite freedom given with the tiny blocks was awesome to say the least. Programming and developing carries that same kind of awe. It’s gotten to the point where there are few things you can’t do with programming. It’s used for a lot of things from business to entertainment. So did you have a favorite childhood toy? And what impact did it have on your life and career now?
