Google Wallet

Google will introduce its new Android App “Google Wallet” which is supposed to be the future of money this fall. It is just as its name says – a wallet which will replace some of your plastic credit cards. Only 3 when it launches though which is: “Citi Paypass”, some Mastercards and Google Prepaid Cards. Apparently all you have to do is hold your phone close to the paying terminal and click “Pay” and boom – dunski. I find this a tad hard to believe and imagine it will be pretty buggy when it first hits the market. But it is a free app so I will probably buy it and look like an idiot at checkout lines for a while – while the cashier asks “What are you doing crazy – get your phone away from my machine!” Will you try out the new Google App? Do you think it’s the future of money? Could it revolutionize the way we pay for things?
