Google Shortener and QR Code Generator

September 23, 2011 No Comments

It seems that Google launched a quite useful service last year, but I just found out now. It consists of a URL shortener. The idea is to simplify the address to the form “http://goo.gl/o1uz4”, which is equivalent to “http://trileafdesigns.com/blog/”. Another useful feature is that if you add “.info” at the end of the shortened URL you can see some interesting statistics such as the number of clicks, the countries from where the link was accessed and the browser from which it was accessed. You can also add “.qr” at the end of the shortened URL to generate the QR Code. Try it now and tell me what you think!
