Future Technology

There are many new technological items to come in the future. PCWorld has an excellent article about products to come in the future. One of these is the gesture-based remote. Toshiba has already brought out a laptop with a media player that responds to gestures.

Another future technological feature is touchscreen. The iPhone introduced multitouch technology, but now it is being found in many devices. For instance, there is now a Dell Latitude tablet PC. Wireless technology is also here with more on the way. As of right now, we have the ability to throw electricity from one coil to another over a few feet, which increases efficiency. In the future, we will be able to charge our laptops at Starbucks without ever opening anything up.

The article also has predictions about technology. They list three that PCWorld was accurate about and three that they were wrong about. PCWorld predicted computer mice will become commonplace, Microsoft will dominate the computer industry, and that people will be able to store date on small boxes (MP3 players and cell phones).
