Adobe Creative Suite 5
May 28, 2011 No CommentsSo I recently bought the new CS (again…) which is Adobe Creative Suite 5 (CS5) Design and WOW so far I am in love with it. For the past 4 or 5 months I been forced to use programs like GIMP in order to edit my images and save them for web. What a hassle it was to use that program in comparison to something such as Photoshop or Illustrator. But some say that GIMP isn’t meant to be a Photoshop clone but more as Paint on steroids. But enough about that I want to talk about how amazing Adobe Device Central is. With this program I can browse through hundreds of phones and other mobile devices in order to test websites or application on them. I might start developing some mobile applets because of this and I’ll make sure to post them. Another tool that is this Adobe Media Encoder which allows you to drag and drop a video of some kind and convert it to either FLV or H.264 which are the two leading web video formats. I haven’t had a change to actually play around with it in depth but it looks pretty cool and I plan on testing it this weekend. There were plenty of other programs like Adobe Flash and such but I personally never get into those. What is your opinion on Adobe CS5? Have you used Device Central or Media Encoder before (in previous CS versions)? What did you think of them?
