When to Consider Redesigning Your Logo
July 6, 2012 No Comments
A business’ logo is a big part of what makes a good first impression to their clients and other businesses. But making sure that you keep an up-to-date logo is just as important. So, when is it a good time to think about revamping your logo?
The first thing you have to ask yourself is, “Does my logo portray what my business is all about?” If you don’t answer with an enthusiastic “YES!” then it’s time to get started on redesigning your logo. Start asking yourself questions like, “do I want my logo to look professional or eye-catching?” “how will the logo reflect my business’ personality?” “will this new logo point my business in the direction that it needs to go?” These are some key questions that you need to ask yourself in order to make sure that you logo is one that will be remembered and won’t become outdated easily. Don’t forget that the customers that you have had for a long time will already be used to your previous logo, so it’s important to consider revamping instead of starting from scratch.
Once you have your logo design, what’s next? Simple. You have to make it a familiar sight to your clientele. Start placing your logo on your merchandise, business cards, invitations, letterheads, etc. in order to have your customer’s associate the logo with your business. Keep in mind that some of the most powerful logos are ones that are recognized just by a simple image. Once you have customers become more associated with your logo take it a step further and place your logo on all your advertisements, nametags, trucks/cards, and more. The more you get your logo- and name- out there the more likely your business will be recognized.
