Outside The Box
July 14, 2011 No CommentsI’ve seen this before and have done it many times in the short span of my creative career. Being stuck in a rut of doing the same techniques, same styles and staying were you feel safe in design. Which is all fine and dandy when you are stuck beneath a mountain of clients and tight deadlines bet when I find myself in a comfortable state however, I also see my talents going nowhere. Just think of it, how are you supposed to improve your knowledge and experience when you don’t also experiment at the same time. There is a wonderful quote from Albert Einstein, he stated “If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got.” What an inspirational quote, especially when you have found your creative thinking turned into a day by day mundane experience.
Creativity, that’s the reason we get into this career isn’t it? To have something new and exciting everyday, to use your own talents to create new amazing things for the world to see. So whats the point in playing it safe, I encourage you to get out there and try something new, something different, even something scary. Who knows, It may lead to more exciting and even more profitable opportunities in no time.
