Eco-friendly package designs

January 3, 2012 No Comments

This week, I would like to introduce three unusual, great, eco-friendly package designs. These are all fun and creative. There were designed carefully considering expenses and functions.

1. 360 Paper bottle.

This 100% recyclable food-safe paper water bottle was designed by the company Brand Image. I think this is great idea for using paper instead of using plastic bottles and wraps. In addition, this package design considered the functions and expenses involved. The bottle design is very fun. If you want to open the bottle, you could lift off the top part of the bottle, and then it becomes the cap. And there is a grip for multi-packs, so it is easy to deliver.

This shoe case that looks like an egg carton is from Newton running. They used molded paperboard to the shape of the shoes in the shoe case box. This unique package design doesn’t need the interior tissues and additional papers. Also, it is easier to stack and transport than normal shoe cases. The design company that worked with Newton running shoes is TDA Advertising and Design.\n\nhttp://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://de-oh.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/newton.jpg&imgrefurl=http://de-oh.com/category/package-design/&usg=__RWhzc0mVbJHwKp7Ni0ytOkQh7xI=&h=377&w=538&sz=164&hl=en&start=120&zoom=1&tbnid=K9JdshlWjDbiAM:&tbnh=92&tbnw=132&ei=Gxb-TtzwB8KksQLOkNXXAQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Deco-friendly%2Bgraphic%2Bdesigns%26start%3D105%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Den%26tbm%3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1

3. Tie wrap

This simple and cute tie package is designed by Jean Gillaume Blais. This is not only a package, but it also works as a tie wrap. Instead of using plastic ties just once for organizing electronic cords, using cardboard ties saves a lot of energy. This creative package design won an award at Young Package 2008.

I hope you liked seeing these clever, eco-friendly package designs. And tell us what you think about these three package designs. If you have any experiences with package design, tell us about it.
