Remove Red Eye

When the photo you need to use has red eyes, here is an easy fix

If you ever need to incorporate photography into your work, but the photo you need has the unfortunate red eye going on, here is an easy fix in Photoshop. In the Adjustments palette, create a channel mixer layer. Adjust the values to 0% red, 50% green, and 50% blue. The colors of the photo will be pretty odd, but adjusting the mask will fix that. Select the mask of the layer, and delete it (Command+delete for Mac users, control+backspace for PC); the mask should be all black now and you should see the original photo with red eye. Take the paintbrush tool and set it to white and paint in the mask over the eyes. The adjustment you made in the Channel Mixer should show up now on top of your photo and you should have a much more natural looking photo, ready to incorporate into your design.
